Banknotes from
China seem to be particularly popular at the moment. China has issued a tremendous variety of
notes, and many of them are highly attractive. The PMG
population report shows that many of the China banknotes are also quite rare,
particularly in the upper grades. In
many cases, the only gem-quality notes graded by PMG are specimens and
proofs; those collecting only issued notes have to settle for lower grades. The remainder
of this page shows some outstanding examples of China specimen banknotes. You will also
find below a partial list of the China banknotes available for sale or trade. Pictures of the items for sale or trade can
be emailed upon request. Many other
items are available, so please ask if you have specific wants. All items listed are subject to prior sale. Champion
